Know the Parts of a USHB125‑10
Familiarize yourself with these key components before you get started:
-
Ram & Torsion Bar System: Maintains parallelism across the bend—vital for precision.
-
CNC 2‑Axis Back Gauge + 6″ Touchscreen: Lets you program up to 10 bends per job with superb repeatability.
-
Gooseneck Punch & Multi‑Die Setup: Comes standard—perfect for 90° bends on 10‑gage mild steel.
-
Light Curtain Safety System: Includes a safety curtain to help protect users during operation. These curtains will protect the users hands from the ram when coming down. They are adjustable depending on the type of work you are performing.
Use a USHB125‑10 in 5 Steps
1. Take Proper Safety Precautions
Always wear safety glasses and gloves. Make sure the light curtain is activated, and keep hands clear during operation. Review emergency stops and guard systems before powering on. Prepare your material and tooling.
2. Load Tooling and Adjust Ram
Install the gooseneck punch and multi-opening die. Use the mechanical ram depth handwheel to adjust stroke and set up the torsion bar system so the ram stays parallel across the bed. This keep the bend straight throught the length of the bed.
3. Program Your Bend Sequence
Via the CNC touchscreen, enter bend angles, back-gauge positions, and punch/die selections. Use the tool library and store bend routines to improve efficiency and accuracy. You can use the machine in manual mode. Just move the backgauge back to the desired mesurement. Put your material in until it his the back gauge and you can bend. You will need to set up your tooling and ram depth to make sure it does not crush the tooling.
4. Run a Test Bend and Fine-Tune
Make an initial test bend. Validate the angle and adjust for springback or material allowance. Make fine tweaks to ram depth or gauge settings if needed. Best to use some spare material if you can.
5. Execute Full Run
Once dialed in, run your sequence. Thanks to the 125‑ton capacity and 10-foot bed, you can produce consistent bends on large panels or box shapes. Monitor safety systems and back-gauge performance as you go.
